Welcome to GIFC’s September, 2026 Newsletter!  It’s finally fall and time to harvest fruit like the beautiful Orca Pears below, gather vegetables for eating and sale, and dry a multitude of locally resilient seeds.  Our latest newsletter includes Seed Saving workshops on Pender, Mayne and Galiano, and food fermentation and food security workshops at Pender’s annual Crisp Apple Festival.  Plus a demo and opportunity to use a new community apple press to make your own juice!  (and more)
