Jan, 2025 NEWSLETTER, Winter Farmer-2-Farmer Field Days

For those who didn’t already receive it, here’s the latest Jan, 2025 Gulf Islands Food Co-op Newsletter!

This includes three upcoming Farmer-2-Farmer Field Days organized by the Gulf Islands Food Co-op in cooperation with the BC Ministry of Agriculture and Food.  Come network with your food producing peers on Pender Island!  This is a chance to chat about Best Management Practices, tour a diversity of farms, connect, and share your farming experiences.  Discuss with other growers how to enhance Nutrient and weed management, Pasture rotation, Pollinator habitat and Shelterbelts.  Dates and locations are as follows:

January 27, 2025 – Braeloch Farm (garlic, and more garlic!)

February 22 – Avondale Farm (sheep and blueberries)

March 12 – Raven Rock Farm (market garden and greenhouses)

Exact time of day for each event is yet to be confirmed, but each will be 3-hours with LUNCH included, and it’s all free!  For more details send an email to rozkempe@shaw.ca
